My Penny Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026 · Bundle ID com.mayooran.penny
My Penny (“the app”) is a personal finance planner for iPhone. The developer does not collect personal or financial data from this app onto developer-operated servers. That matches the App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected (by the developer).
Penny is intended for adults managing personal finances. It is not directed to children under 13.
Data stored on your device
Information you enter — income, bills, budgets, savings goals, debts, transactions, display name, currency, appearance/theme preferences, and settings — is saved locally with Apple’s SwiftData / on-device storage.
- Optional bill reminders are scheduled locally with Apple’s notification system.
- Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets may show a local snapshot of Safe to Spend and related summary values via the App Group
group.com.mayooran.penny. That snapshot stays on your device for widget display. - Optional Wallet tap capture uses Apple Shortcuts / App Intents that you configure. Amounts and titles processed that way are intended to stay on your device when automations run locally.
- If you use CSV export, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose (Files, Mail, AirDrop, etc.).
The developer does not receive this data and cannot recover it if you delete it.
Apple services (not developer collection)
- App Store / StoreKit: If you buy Penny Pro, Apple processes the purchase. We never receive your payment card details. Apple’s purchase records are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- Device backup: If iCloud Backup or a computer backup includes this app’s container, your local Penny data may be included in that backup under Apple’s terms. Penny does not offer developer-operated cloud sync.
- Operating system: Standard OS networking may occur for App Store receipt validation and similar Apple services.
What we do not do
- No bank connections or credential collection
- No developer-operated servers or user accounts
- No advertising SDKs
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No sale or sharing of personal or financial data by the developer
- No tracking across apps or websites for advertising
- No App Tracking Transparency / advertising identifier use
Purchases (Penny Pro)
If you buy Penny Pro (currently a one-time lifetime unlock), the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. Refunds follow Apple’s processes — see the Support page and Terms of Use for how to request a refund via Apple.
Children
Penny is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. There is no chat, social feed, account system, or advertising targeting. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app in a way that reaches the developer, contact us using the App Store product page email and we will delete any such information we control (which, for this on-device app, is typically none).
If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Penny only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Your choices
- Use the app without enabling notifications.
- Skip optional Wallet tap capture.
- Export transactions to CSV (Penny Pro) before resetting or deleting data.
- Reset demo data or delete all data from Settings.
- Delete the app to clear local financial data (subject to any device backups you keep).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Material changes that affect data practices will also be reflected in the App Store privacy labels.
